How it works / formula
Calculation steps
- Total width = face width + (2 × wrap depth).
- Total height = face height + (2 × wrap depth).
- Build pixels at your target DPI from those totals. Mirror or continue art onto wrap edges per your shop style.
Worked example
Example (illustrative)
- 16×20 face with 1.5 in depth → 19×23 in file.
Assumptions & limitations
This calculator provides an estimate for planning and quoting. Actual results vary with supplier pricing, ink coverage, waste, labour rates, equipment and marketplace fee changes. Always verify critical numbers before production. See the disclaimer.

Frequently asked questions
Do labs want mirrored sides?
Policies differ — follow your print lab’s template for edge treatment.
Do I need bleed beyond the wrap?
Many labs want a small extra bleed past the wrap fold — confirm with your printer.
Should logos sit on the wrap?
Keep critical text on the face. Wrap edges are for background continuation.
What DPI for canvas?
Often 150–300 DPI depending on size and viewing distance. Check the lab’s file spec.
